Hikaye / Özet
Uoto tarafından yazılan ve çizilen, Shogakukan'ın gençlere hitap eden manga dergisi Weekly Big Comic Spirits'te yayınlanan bir Japon mangasının 8 cilt halinde toplanmış halinden uyarlanan animedir. 15.yy'da geçen hikaye, büyük ihtimalle kurgusal bir Polonya'da P Krallığı'nda, yalnız kilise öğretilerinin geçerli olduğu, farklı bilgileri araştıran ve yayanların işkence ve ölümle cezalandırıldığı bir yerde geçmektedir. Dünya'nın evrenimizin merkezi olduğunu ve diğer tüm gök cisimlerinin onun etrafında döndüğünü varsayan jeosantrik model, "C dini" öğretileri dışında Dünya'nın Güneş etrafında döndüğü gibi fikirleri sapkınca bulur ve kazıkta yakılma cezası verir. Rafal adında astronomiye merak duyan bir dahi, bir bilgin ve sapkın olan Hubert ile çalışmaya zorlanır ve "güneş merkezcilik" teorisiyle ilgili diyagram çizer. Kilise bu çizimi gördüğünde Hubert suçu üstlenir ve ölüm cezasına çarptırılır. Tek çıkış yolu güneş merkezliliği kanıtlayabileceğine inandığı Rafal'a tüm çalışmalarını vermektir ancak acaba Rafal tüm bunların üstesinden gelebilecek midir?
